TimBuckDo Raises Bridge Round from Trasa Ventures to Scale On-Demand Convenience Services

TimBuckDo, a Bengaluru-based on-demand convenience platform, has raised a bridge round from Trasa Ventures. The investor is the family office of Srinath Setty, co-founder and CEO of Hosachiguru, and Adarsh Narahari, founder and managing director of Primus Senior Living.
The startup is now preparing to raise $5 million in a Series A round in the coming months. The bridge capital will support TimBuckDo’s next phase of expansion as it builds a more organized convenience-services model for Indian households and businesses.
What TimBuckDo does
TimBuckDo was founded in 2022 by Mythri Kumar and Apoorv Sharma Prasad.
The startup works in the on-demand convenience space and uses verified college students to deliver everyday services.
Its model is built around India’s pink collar economy. This term usually refers to service-led jobs that involve care, support, assistance and people-facing work. In TimBuckDo’s case, the platform connects users with trained student partners for daily tasks.
These services can include pet care, errands, child support, elder support, personal styling, shopping help, home management and quick business support.
For example, a working couple may need someone to help with pet walking or grocery errands. A senior citizen may need simple assistance with day-to-day tasks. A small business may need short-duration support for event work or local operations. TimBuckDo wants to make such help easier to find and book.
Startup aim
TimBuckDo’s aim is to create a trusted convenience layer for urban India while also opening flexible earning opportunities for students.
This is useful on both sides. Customers get access to verified support for small but important daily jobs. Students get a chance to earn, build confidence and learn practical work skills while studying.
The platform’s strength will depend on trust, training and service quality. In household and care-related work, users do not only look for speed. They also want reliability, safety and basic professionalism.
Funding purpose
As per VCCircle, the bridge round will support TimBuckDo’s next phase of expansion before its planned Series A fundraise.
In simple terms, a bridge round helps a startup continue growing while preparing for a larger funding round. TimBuckDo may use this capital to expand its service network, improve operations, strengthen student verification and build better technology for matching users with the right service partners.
Why this model matters
India’s urban families are busier than ever. Many people need help with tasks that are too small for a full-time hire but too important to ignore. This creates room for on-demand convenience platforms.
TimBuckDo’s student-powered model also gives young people flexible work options. If managed well, it can create a new form of part-time employment that is more structured than random gigs.
Competitors and market view
TimBuckDo operates in a space that overlaps with home services, gig work, concierge support and student workforce platforms. Its broad competitors may include Urban Company, Taskmo, Apna, Internshala and other local service marketplaces.
However, TimBuckDo’s focus on verified college students and convenience-led pink collar work gives it a more specific positioning. The challenge will be scaling without losing service quality.
