Asus Zenbook 14 Launches With Up to 33-Hour Battery Life – A Light Laptop Built for Busy Days

The new Asus Zenbook 14 is aimed at people who want one laptop for work, study, travel and entertainment. It is slim, weighs as little as 1.1kg, and comes with a striking promise – up to 33 hours of battery life on select models.

That number will naturally catch attention. Still, it is important to see it as a company-tested maximum, not a guarantee for every user. Battery life changes depending on screen brightness, apps, video calls, Wi-Fi use and the processor inside the laptop.

Three versions, one familiar Zenbook idea

Asus has launched the Zenbook 14 UX3480 range in India with three processor choices – Intel Core Ultra, AMD Ryzen AI and Qualcomm Snapdragon X. This gives buyers more freedom to choose based on their work style and budget as per them.

The Intel model goes up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor. The AMD version comes with a Ryzen AI 7 345 chip, while the Snapdragon option uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X X1-26-100 processor. All three have 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD in the listed Indian configurations.

For a student juggling browser tabs, online classes and documents, the Snapdragon model may be a sensible battery-focused option. Someone editing photos, handling heavier files or doing more demanding work may prefer the Intel or AMD variants.

The 33-hour battery claim explained

Asus says the AMD-powered Zenbook 14 can deliver up to 33 hours of offline video playback. The company lists up to 29 hours for the Intel version and up to 30 hours for the Snapdragon model. These results come from specific test conditions, so everyday use will be lower for most people.

Even so, the claim points to a useful advantage. A laptop that comfortably lasts through a full workday without searching for a socket can be a relief during college lectures, train journeys or long meetings.

Fast charging is also included. Asus says the AMD and Intel models can reach 60 percent charge in 49 minutes, while the Snapdragon version can reach 50 percent in 30 minutes with the required charger.

OLED screen and a laptop that travels well

The top Intel configuration gets a 14-inch 3K Lumina OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The AMD and Snapdragon models use Full HD+ OLED touchscreens with a 60Hz refresh rate. OLED screens are known for deep black levels and rich colours, which can make films, photos and presentations look more lively.

The laptop has a 16:10 display shape, giving extra vertical room for reading documents and websites. Asus also includes USB Type-A, USB-C, HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5mm headphone jack across the range, so users may not need to carry a separate adapter for basic connections.

Its Ceraluminum lid is designed to resist everyday marks and scratches. The colours include Arctic Blue, Komodo Coral and Zabriskie Beige, depending on the version and market.

Price and competitors in India

The Asus Zenbook 14 starts at Rs. 1,36,990 in India. The AMD variant is priced at Rs. 1,56,990, while the Intel Core Ultra 9 model costs Rs. 1,67,990. It will be sold through Asus stores, the Asus e-shop, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales and authorized sellers.

It will face competition from premium thin-and-light laptops such as the Lenovo Yoga Slim series, HP OmniBook models and Apple’s MacBook Air. The Zenbook’s big draw is choice: buyers can pick Intel, AMD or Snapdragon without leaving the same design family.
