Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition – Lets Explore the Features, Price and Special About this Edition

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the Hayabusa Special Edition at Rs. 19.90 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The new version is aimed at riders who want the iconic performance of the Hayabusa with a more distinctive appearance and exclusive equipment.
Alongside the special edition, Suzuki has also updated the standard Hayabusa with new colour combinations and revised electronic settings. The standard model now costs Rs. 18.99 lakh, making the special edition Rs. 91,000 more expensive.
What is special about the new edition
The Hayabusa Special Edition is finished in Pearl Vigor Blue. It gets special decals and a different wheel finish, giving it a more personalized look than the regular motorcycle.
Suzuki has added a 3D Suzuki emblem on the fuel tank and special edition branding. The muffler end and heat guard feature anodized finishes, adding small but noticeable visual changes.
A single-seat cowl is included as standard. This replaces the regular pillion seat cover and gives the motorcycle a sharper, more focused sportbike appearance. Riders who often travel alone may also appreciate the cleaner tail-section design.
The special edition is not a completely new motorcycle. Its main upgrades are styling and equipment-related, so existing Hayabusa fans should see it as a more exclusive version of the familiar model.
Engine and performance
The Suzuki Hayabusa continues to use a 1,340cc inline four-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 190bhp and 142Nm of torque and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle uses a twin-spar aluminium frame, adjustable KYB upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking hardware includes twin 320mm floating discs with Brembo Stylema front callipers.
These specifications make the Hayabusa suitable for high-speed touring as well as controlled performance riding. It is not a lightweight motorcycle, but its strong engine, stable chassis and electronic assistance are designed to make its power more manageable.
Updated electronics and battery
Suzuki has revised the launch control system and power mode selector. Launch control helps manage acceleration during a standing start, while the power mode selector allows riders to choose how sharply the engine responds.
The smart cruise control system has also been updated. It can remain active even when the rider changes gears using the bi-directional quick-shifter. This can make long highway journeys more convenient.
The bike now uses a new ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery, which is lighter and more compact than the earlier unit. The motorcycle also continues to offer Suzuki’s electronic rider-aid package, including traction control, riding modes and other safety systems.
Standard Hayabusa colour updates
The regular Hayabusa is now available in three new colour combinations:
- Candy Daring Red with Glass Sparkle Black
- Metallic Galaxy Gray with Candy Burnt Gold
- Pearl Vigor Blue with Pearl Brilliant White
This gives buyers more choice while keeping the standard model below the Rs. 19 lakh ex-showroom mark.
Who should consider it
The Hayabusa Special Edition is made for experienced riders, collectors and enthusiasts who value exclusivity. It may also appeal to existing Hayabusa owners who want a newer colour scheme and factory-fitted seat cowl.
It is not intended for new riders. The bike’s size, weight and performance demand proper training, protective riding gear and responsible road use.
In the premium performance motorcycle space, buyers may also consider motorcycles such as the BMW S 1000 RR, Kawasaki Ninja H2 and Honda Gold Wing, although these bikes offer different riding experiences and are not direct replacements for the Hayabusa.
Conclusion with key takeaways
The Suzuki Hayabusa Special Edition brings visual changes, exclusive badging, a standard single-seat cowl and updated electronics to Suzuki’s famous high-speed motorcycle.
At Rs. 19.90 lakh, it costs more than the standard model but offers a more distinctive appearance and special equipment. The engine and core chassis remain unchanged, so the main appeal is exclusivity rather than a major performance upgrade.
