Renault Triber Turbo launched at Rs. 7.84 lakh

The Renault Triber Turbo is priced from Rs. 7.84 lakh, ex-showroom. It is the first time that Renault has offered the Triber with a turbo-petrol engine. The new version uses a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol motor producing 99 bhp.

The turbo version is offered from the Evolution variant, while the entry-level Authentic trim continues with the naturally aspirated petrol engine. The stronger engine is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox at launch. Automatic and factory-fitted CNG versions are expected to join the range later.

The purpose of this update is to address one of the Triber’s biggest weaknesses. The standard 1.0-litre petrol engine is adequate for city driving, but it can feel strained when the car carries seven passengers and luggage.
