Hyundai Bayon Launch Nears on October 26 and New Audi Q3 Arrives at Rs. 51.99 Lakh

India’s SUV market is getting two very different new choices this October. As discussed earlier on both the vehicle’s launch, Hyundai will launch the Bayon on October 26, while Audi has already introduced the third-generation Q3 at an introductory price of Rs. 51.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Bayon is aimed at buyers looking for a feature-rich petrol SUV for daily city use. The Audi Q3, meanwhile, targets customers who want a premium badge, stronger performance and all-wheel-drive confidence. Here is what each vehicle brings to the table.
Hyundai Bayon bookings and engine details
Hyundai has opened Bayon bookings online and at dealerships for Rs. 11,000. The company says deliveries are planned for the festive season, with exact timelines to be shared at launch.
The SUV uses a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine producing 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque. Buyers will be able to choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox and an IVT automatic. An IVT is Hyundai’s automatic transmission designed for smooth driving, especially useful in stop-and-go city traffic.
For someone commuting through busy roads every day, the automatic Bayon could be the easier option. Drivers who prefer more control on highways may lean towards the manual version.
Bayon brings AI and a digital cabin
Technology is the Bayon’s big selling point. It gets two 12.3-inch curved displays, forming a wide digital layout for the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
Hyundai is also introducing its first generative AI voice assistant in India through the Bayon. It combines technology from Perplexity and SoundHound AI to support more natural voice conversations inside the car. The SUV also has Hyundai Bluelink connected-car services, over-the-air updates for up to 19 controllers, and more than 500 voice commands in several Indian languages.
That means a driver may be able to adjust selected functions or find useful information without taking attention away from the road for long.

New Audi Q3 starts at Rs. 51.99 lakh
As per AutocarIndia, the new Audi Q3 is available in Nova and Zenith variants. The Nova starts at Rs. 51.99 lakh, ex-showroom, while the higher Zenith trim is listed at Rs. 55.99 lakh by leading auto publications.
Both variants get a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine making 204 hp and 320 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. Audi claims a 0-100 kmph time of 7.1 seconds.
Unlike a regular front-wheel-drive SUV, all-wheel drive can send power to all four wheels when needed. This can be helpful on wet roads, uneven surfaces and fast highway drives.
Audi Q3 features and rivals
The Q3 gets a 12.8-inch touchscreen, an 11.9-inch digital driver display, panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control and powered front seats. The top Zenith version adds features such as Matrix LED headlights, a head-up display and a Sonos sound system.
Its key rivals include the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. However, Audi’s quattro system gives the Q3 a mechanical advantage for buyers who value traction and driving confidence.
