Disha Raises $5.3M Series A to Build AI Health Coaching for India

Disha, formerly known as Curelink, has raised around $5.3 million in a Series A funding round led by General Catalyst. The round also saw participation from existing investor Elevation Capital, along with Flamel Performing Creatives Private Limited.
The company is building an AI-powered health coaching platform for Indian users who need help with diet, fitness and chronic-care support. In simple words, Disha wants to make health guidance more regular, more personal and easier to access in everyday language.
What Disha does
Disha is the consumer health coaching product built by Curelink. Curelink was founded in 2021 by Aman Singla and Divyansh Jain.
The platform offers coaching support across areas like weight loss, PCOS, thyroid, diabetes, pregnancy, postpartum recovery and other lifestyle-linked health needs. It works in Hindi, English and Hinglish, which is important because many Indians are more comfortable asking health questions in mixed or local language.
Disha says it combines AI with clinical protocols and coaching support. The idea is not to replace doctors, but to help users stay consistent with daily habits such as food choices, workouts, follow-ups and small lifestyle changes.
Funding purpose
As per reports, Disha raised Rs. 43.88 crore in this Series A round. General Catalyst invested the largest amount, while Elevation Capital also joined the round.
The fresh capital is expected to be used for working capital, AI model development, technology improvement, business expansion and general corporate needs.
This makes sense for a health coaching platform. To grow responsibly, Disha needs stronger AI systems, better user experience, more condition-specific plans and reliable coaching workflows. Health guidance is sensitive, so accuracy and safety matter as much as scale.
Why this model matters
Many people start health plans with good energy but stop after a few days. The problem is not always lack of intention. Sometimes users need reminders, food suggestions, emotional support and practical guidance that fits their normal routine.
For example, a user managing PCOS may not only need a diet chart. She may need daily meal swaps, movement reminders, sleep advice and someone to explain what to do when cravings or fatigue hit. Disha is trying to make that support available more often through AI-led coaching.
Traction and business details
Disha claims more than 70 lakh sign-ups, around 3 lakh active users and over 1.4 crore messages exchanged on the platform. Its website also says the product is built on Curelink’s clinical experience and health data.
Reports also note that Disha’s revenue doubled to Rs. 4.91 crore in FY25 from Rs. 2.47 crore in FY24, while losses narrowed to Rs. 4.45 crore. These are still early-stage numbers, but they show that the company is moving from pure product-building toward a more serious business phase.
Competitors and market view
Disha competes in a growing healthtech space where users already see options from companies like Healthify, Fitterfly, Ultrahuman, Sugar.fit and other digital wellness and chronic-care platforms.
Its edge may come from language-first coaching, AI-led personalization and India-specific health behaviour. But the real test will be trust. Users will stay only if the advice feels useful, safe and practical.
