As discussed in earlier article, Toyota has launched the updated Glanza in India at a starting price of Rs. 6.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The facelift brings a revised front design, a new three-cylinder petrol engine and several comfort and safety upgrades.

The Glanza remains closely related to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, but Toyota has given its version a different exterior treatment and its own equipment package. It continues to target buyers looking for a premium hatchback with easy city driving and affordable running costs.

Toyota Glanza facelift price and variants

The 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift is available in five trims – E, S, G, V and V (O).

  • E – From Rs. 6.99 lakh
  • S – From Rs. 7.71 lakh
  • G – From Rs. 8.73 lakh
  • V – From Rs. 9.99 lakh
  • V (O) – From Rs. 10.49 lakh

All prices are ex-showroom and may vary depending on the selected fuel type, transmission and equipment.

Exterior changes

The Glanza facelift gets a larger front grille with satin-finish elements and redesigned LED fog-lamp housings. The headlamps and rear lighting design remain largely unchanged.

Toyota has also added a shark-fin antenna, new alloy wheel styling and two fresh colour options called Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black.

The overall shape is still familiar, but the new front end gives the hatchback a sharper appearance. The car continues with a practical five-door layout and compact dimensions suited to urban roads.

New engine and transmission options

The biggest mechanical change is the new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. In petrol mode, it produces around 83hp and 112Nm of torque.

The engine is available with a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed AMT. An idle start-stop system is also included to help reduce fuel consumption during traffic stops.

The Glanza facelift continues to offer a factory-fitted CNG version. In CNG mode, the engine produces around 70hp and 102Nm. Buyers can choose between manual and AMT options, making the CNG model more convenient for city users.

The new engine produces slightly less power than the previous four-cylinder unit, but Toyota says the focus is on better efficiency and everyday usability.

Features and safety equipment

The cabin layout remains mostly unchanged, but Toyota has added several new features. Higher variants get ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger with cooling, leatherette upholstery and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.

Other equipment includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, a head-up display and a Clarion audio system.

The updated Glanza also gets a Level 2 ADAS package. Depending on the variant, this can include features such as lane assistance, adaptive cruise control and collision warning support.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera, hill-hold control and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.

Rivals

The Toyota Glanza facelift competes with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, Hyundai i20 N Line and Tata Altroz.

The Baleno is its closest rival because both cars share much of their hardware. The Hyundai i20 offers a more premium cabin feel, while the Tata Altroz attracts buyers with its design and safety image.

The Glanza’s main advantages are Toyota’s service network, CNG and AMT choices, a comfortable cabin and the addition of ADAS features in the higher variants.
