India’s private space sector has recorded another important milestone. Payloads developed by Dhruva Space, TakeMe2Space, SatLeo Labs and EON Space Labs have reached orbit aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 Transporter-18 rideshare mission.

The Falcon 9 launched the mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on October 1, 2026. Although SatLeo Labs is based in Ahmedabad, three of the four companies are connected to Telangana’s space-tech ecosystem through Hyderabad-based operations and support institutions such as T-Hub and T-Works as reported by Telangana Today.

3. EON Space Labs was incorporated in Hyderabad in 2022. Its founders include Sanjay Kumar, Punit Badeka and Manoj Kumar Gaddam. The company develops lightweight imaging payloads for satellites, drones and ground systems.
4. SatLeo Labs was founded in Ahmedabad by Shravan Bhati, Dr. Ranendu Ghosh and Urmil Bakhai. Its focus is thermal remote sensing, which means using satellite-based cameras to understand heat patterns on Earth.
