The Indian smartphone market is entering a busy week with two major launches. Oppo is set to introduce the F35 5G and F35 Pro 5G in India today, October 5. Vivo will follow with the V80 on October 6.

Both brands are focusing on cameras, battery life and premium design. However, their approach is different. Oppo is expected to target selfie lovers and buyers who want a durable phone with long battery life. Vivo is positioning the V80 as a camera-focused premium device with ZEISS technology.

Oppo F35 Series features

The Oppo F35 lineup is expected to include two models – the F35 5G and F35 Pro 5G. Oppo has promoted the series around group selfies, with a 50MP ultra-wide front camera offering a 100-degree field of view.

This wider view should make it easier to fit several people into one photo without asking someone to hold the phone far away. Oppo is also expected to use its NaturalTone 2.0 processing for more realistic skin tones.

The F35 Pro is tipped to offer 4K video recording through both its front and rear cameras. Reports also suggest a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The standard F35 may use a simpler dual-camera setup.

Battery life could be one of the series’ biggest selling points. Leaks point to an 8,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging, although Oppo’s complete specifications should be checked after the official launch. The phones may also offer strong dust and water protection, along with ColorOS software.

Oppo F35 expected price

Oppo has not officially confirmed the final Indian prices at the time of writing. Reports suggest the standard F35 5G could be priced around Rs. 37,999, while the F35 Pro may fall between Rs. 44,000 and Rs. 50,000.

These figures are estimates, not official prices.

Oppo’s official pre-launch page confirms a 6GB + 128GB F35 5G variant and promotional benefits linked to the new series.

Vivo V80 features

The Vivo V80 will launch in India on October 6 at 12 noon. Its biggest attraction is the ZEISS-branded camera system, including a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera designed for portraits and night photography.

Vivo has confirmed a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate can make scrolling, animations and supported games look smoother.

The phone will include a 7,200mAh battery with 90W FlashCharge. Vivo says this is the largest battery used in its Indian V-series phones so far. The V80 will run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 and use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform. It is also listed with IP68 and IP69 protection as per the launch site.

Other highlights include 4K video recording, AI camera tools, a glass design and three colour options – Stellar Black, Horizon Blue and Sunrise Anthem.

Vivo V80 expected price

Vivo has not officially announced the final Indian price before the launch. Market reports place the expected starting price around Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 63,000. Higher storage versions could cost more, possibly reaching Rs. 80,000.

Which phone may suit you

The Oppo F35 series may appeal to users who prioritize group selfies, durability and a large battery. The Vivo V80 appears better suited to buyers who want portrait photography, a premium display and stronger camera features.

The two phones will compete with models such as the OnePlus Nord series, Motorola Edge phones and other premium mid-range devices. The final choice will depend heavily on official prices, processor performance and camera reviews.

India’s smartphone market is getting a busy September week. Oppo has confirmed the Oppo K14 Lite India launch for September 16, Lava is preparing the Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G for September 18, and Samsung Galaxy S26 FE sales in India are also set to begin on September 18.

For buyers, this means three very different choices. Oppo and Lava are looking at practical users who want battery life and value, while Samsung is targeting people who want a premium Galaxy experience without going all the way to the Ultra models.

Oppo K14 Lite – Big battery for everyday users

The Oppo K14 Lite is expected to be a budget-friendly phone with a clear focus on battery life. Reports based on the Flipkart microsite say the phone will launch in India on September 16 at 12 PM IST.

Its biggest highlight is the 7,000mAh battery. That should make it useful for students, delivery workers, travellers, and anyone who spends long hours away from a charger. The phone is also expected to bring a 6.75-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and basic gaming feel smoother.

The camera setup looks simple, with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera mentioned in early listings. This is not a phone for serious photography, but it should handle WhatsApp photos, documents, video calls, and casual social media posts.

Oppo may compete here with Redmi, Realme, Moto G series phones, and Lava’s own budget 5G models.

Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G – A local brand aiming for value

Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G is confirmed to launch in India on September 18 at 12 PM IST. The phone will be sold through Amazon and is expected to come in gold and blue colour options.

The main attraction is the 6,000mAh battery and 50MP primary rear camera. For a budget 5G phone, this combination could appeal to buyers who want a phone for daily use, online classes, UPI payments, reels, and light photography.

Lava has been trying to build trust as an Indian smartphone brand, especially among buyers who want an alternative to Chinese brands. If pricing is aggressive, the Bold N4 Pro 5G could compete with Redmi, Poco, Realme, Infinix, Tecno, and Motorola phones in the affordable 5G space.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE – Premium feel with Galaxy AI

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE has already been announced globally, and Samsung India’s website shows that its sale goes live on September 18. This one sits in a higher category than the Oppo and Lava phones.

Samsung has listed a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz refresh rate, Exynos 2500 processor, 4,900mAh battery, 45W wired charging, and IP68 water resistance. The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, 8MP telephoto camera, and 12MP front camera.

The Galaxy S26 FE also brings One UI 9, Android 17, Galaxy AI features, and seven years of OS and security updates. For buyers who keep phones for many years, that software support is a strong point.

Its main competitors will likely be the Google Pixel 11, OnePlus flagship models, Vivo X series phones, and Samsung’s own Galaxy S26 when discounts begin.

Conclusion with key takeaways –

This week is useful for Indian buyers because all three phones serve different needs. Oppo K14 Lite looks like a battery-first budget phone. Lava Bold N4 Pro 5G brings 5G, a large battery, and a 50MP camera from a homegrown brand. Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is for users who want a polished display, stronger cameras, long updates, and AI features.

If your budget is tight, wait for Oppo and Lava’s official prices. If you want a premium Android phone with longer software life, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 FE is the one to watch on September 18.
