Realme has launched the Realme C100i 4G in India, and the phone is clearly aimed at buyers who want long battery life without spending too much. Priced at Rs. 14,999, the smartphone sits in the under Rs. 15,000 segment and brings a large 6,500mAh battery, 120Hz display, Android 16-based software, and dust and water resistance.
This is not a phone made for people chasing heavy gaming or flagship cameras. Instead, Realme seems to be targeting students, daily users, delivery workers, shop owners, and families who need a phone that lasts long, feels smooth, and handles regular tasks without fuss.
What makes Realme C100i 4G unique
The biggest highlight is the 6,500mAh battery. Most phones in this budget still offer around 5,000mAh, so Realme is trying to stand out with extra backup. For a normal user, this can mean fewer charging breaks during the day.
For example, if you use your phone for calls, WhatsApp, YouTube, UPI payments, maps, and social media, a larger battery can be genuinely useful. It is also helpful for people who travel often or live in areas where charging access is not always easy.
The phone supports 15W charging, which is decent but not very fast by today’s standards. So, while the battery is big, charging it fully may take some patience.
Display and design
The Realme C100i 4G comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In simple words, 120Hz makes scrolling and screen movement feel smoother than a regular 60Hz panel.

The Realme C100i 4G is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset. It comes in a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. Realme also mentions dynamic RAM support, which uses part of the storage as temporary memory for smoother multitasking.
The phone runs Realme UI based on Android 16. Realme is also claiming a smooth experience for up to three years, though real-world performance will depend on app usage, storage space, and software updates over time.
Camera and protection
For cameras, the phone gets an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. This setup is basic, so buyers should keep expectations practical. It should be fine for document photos, video calls, and casual daylight shots, but camera-focused users may want to compare other options.
The IP64 rating is a useful addition. It means the phone has protection against dust and water splashes, although it is not made for underwater use.
Competitors
At Rs. 14,999, the Realme C100i 4G will compete with budget phones from Lava, Redmi, Poco, Samsung, and Motorola. Its main challenge is simple: many buyers now prefer 5G phones in this price range.
So, the C100i 4G makes more sense for buyers who care more about battery, display smoothness, and durability than 5G connectivity.
