Lava Aura Curve 5G Launched at Rs. 23,999 with Curved AMOLED and Rear Mini Display

Lava has launched the Aura Curve 5G in India, bringing a curved AMOLED display and a small secondary screen on the back to the mid-premium smartphone segment. Priced at Rs. 23,999, the phone is aimed at buyers who prefer shopping at local stores rather than online marketplaces.
The Aura Curve 5G is the first phone in Lava’s offline-focused Aura series. Its core hardware is similar to the Lava Virat Curve 5G, but the new model has been positioned for the company’s offline retail network across India.
Curved AMOLED display takes Centre stage
The Lava Aura Curve 5G features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate helps scrolling, gaming and animations feel smoother than on a standard 60Hz screen.
Lava claims peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits, which should improve screen visibility outdoors. The display also supports 1,920Hz PWM dimming, a feature designed to reduce screen flicker at lower brightness levels.
The phone has a vegan leather finish and comes in Ambar Blue and Him Silver colour options. It measures 8.55mm in thickness and weighs 184g.

What the rear mini display can do
The rear mini display is one of the Aura Curve 5G’s most noticeable features. It sits below the camera module and can show notifications, battery level, volume controls, music playback details and short custom messages.
For example, if the phone is placed face down on a desk, users can check an incoming notification or change music without turning the phone over. The custom-text option also lets buyers display a name or a short personal message.
It is a small addition, but it gives the phone a different look in a market where many devices have similar front designs.

Dimensity 7100, camera and battery
The Aura Curve 5G is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, paired with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Lava also offers up to 6GB of virtual RAM, which uses a part of the phone’s storage as temporary memory.
For everyday work, social media, video streaming and casual gaming, the chipset should offer enough performance. Heavy gamers may need to keep graphics settings moderate in demanding games.
The phone has a 50MP main rear camera using a Sony IMX752 sensor. It supports electronic image stabilization, or EIS, which helps reduce shake in videos. A 13MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Lava has added a 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast-charging support. However, the charger included in the box is rated at 33W.

Software, durability and competition
The Aura Curve 5G runs Android 16. Lava promises two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates. It also includes Vayu AI tools, such as AI Call Summary, AI Voice Translation and Circle Search.
The phone has an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, an infrared blaster and MIL-STD-810H durability certification.
At Rs. 23,999, the Lava Aura Curve 5G will compete with phones such as the Infinix Hot 70 Pro. Its curved AMOLED screen and rear mini display are its biggest visual advantages, while offline-only availability may appeal to buyers who want to see the phone before making a purchase.
