Lenovo has unveiled the Yoga Pro 9n and Yoga 9n 2-in-1, two premium laptops built around NVIDIA’s new RTX Spark platform. They are aimed at creators, developers and professionals who need strong graphics performance and want to run demanding AI tools directly on their laptop.

One important clarification for Indian buyers – Lenovo has announced the models globally, and official technical listings include an India-region Yoga 9n variant. However, Lenovo has not yet confirmed India pricing or a retail availability date for either model but globally it is launched at starting price of $2,999.99 and prices may vary based on the models/configurations.

What makes NVIDIA RTX Spark different

Both laptops use NVIDIA RTX Spark, a platform combining an Arm-based Grace CPU with Blackwell RTX graphics. In plain language, this gives the laptops more power for jobs such as video editing, 3D design, software development, gaming and running selected AI models locally.

Running an AI tool locally can be useful when a creator wants to work with large files without constantly uploading them to a cloud service. For instance, a video editor could use AI-assisted effects or a developer could test an AI model directly on the machine.

Yoga Pro 9n for creators and developers

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n is the more work-focused option. It has a 15.3-inch PureSight Pro OLED display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a variable refresh rate of up to 165Hz and up to 1,100 nits peak HDR brightness.

It supports up to 128GB of unified memory and up to 4TB of storage across two SSD slots. That memory capacity is notable for professionals handling large design projects, code builds or local AI workloads.

Other reported highlights include a 92.5Wh battery, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a 9.2MP infrared camera and a haptic touchpad with pen support. Lenovo lists its weight at around 1.65kg.

Yoga 9n 2-in-1 adds flexibility

The Yoga 9n 2-in-1 is built for users who prefer a touch screen and flexible design. Its 360-degree hinge lets it work as a regular laptop, tablet, tent-style screen or presentation display.

It gets a larger 16-inch PureSight Pro OLED screen with a 2880 x 1800 resolution and a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It supports up to 64GB of unified memory and up to 2TB of storage.

The laptop works with the Yoga Pen Gen 2, allowing users to write or sketch on the display and haptic touchpad. This could suit illustrators, students, designers and editors who need more precise control. It also includes a six-speaker Dolby Atmos setup with a rotating soundbar in the hinge.

Expected competition and buying view

These are likely to sit in the high-end creator-laptop category alongside models such as Apple’s MacBook Pro, Dell’s XPS line and ASUS ProArt laptops. Their real appeal will depend on Indian prices, software compatibility and how well RTX Spark performs outside controlled demonstrations.

For most students and everyday office users, these machines may be more powerful than necessary. But for someone editing 4K video, creating 3D scenes or building AI applications, the Yoga Pro 9n and Yoga 9n 2-in-1 could be interesting options.

NVIDIA has launched RTX Spark laptops, a new category of premium Windows machines designed to run demanding AI work directly on the device. Their biggest feature is up to 128GB of unified memory, giving developers and creators more room to run large AI models without sending data to the cloud.

These are not ordinary gaming laptops with a faster graphics card. RTX Spark systems combine an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and NVIDIA Grace CPU in a single chip package. The idea is to offer one portable computer for local AI, 3D work, video editing, coding and gaming.

What is NVIDIA RTX Spark?

RTX Spark is NVIDIA’s new platform for Windows laptops and compact desktops. The top version includes up to a 20-core Grace CPU, a Blackwell RTX GPU with up to 6,144 CUDA cores and up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance.

A petaflop is a measure of computing power. It sounds technical, but in practical terms it means the system is built to handle AI tasks that would normally require a powerful desktop or cloud service.

The key feature is unified memory. In a regular laptop, the processor and graphics card often have separate memory pools. RTX Spark allows the CPU and GPU to use the same memory pool, with top models offering up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory.

This does not mean every RTX Spark laptop includes 128GB. Buyers need to check the configuration carefully. NVIDIA also offers a lower-tier version with an 18-core CPU, 5,120 GPU cores and up to 64GB of unified memory.

Why 128GB matters for local AI

Large language models need plenty of memory. When there is not enough memory, a user may need to use a smaller model, reduce the amount of context given to it, or move the work to a cloud service.

NVIDIA says higher-end RTX Spark systems can run models with up to 120 billion parameters and a context window of up to one million tokens. In simple terms, that could help an AI tool analyse longer documents, larger codebases or detailed project notes while keeping the information on the user’s own laptop.

For example, a software developer could test an AI coding assistant on private project files locally. A video editor could use AI tools for noise removal, background changes or image creation without paying for each cloud prompt. Local processing can offer greater control over files, though it does not remove the need for sensible security practices.

Features for creators and gamers

RTX Spark is not limited to AI developers. NVIDIA says the laptops can handle 3D scenes of up to 90GB, edit 8K 4:2:2 video and run supported Adobe tools with TensorRT acceleration.

The platform also supports familiar NVIDIA technologies such as CUDA, DLSS 5, ray tracing, Reflex, OptiX and NVIDIA Broadcast. For gamers, this means compatible titles can use AI-assisted image upscaling, lower-latency tools and advanced lighting effects.

NVIDIA lists RTX Spark laptop models from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI. Examples include the ASUS ProArt P14 and P16, Dell XPS 16, HP OmniBook Ultra, Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n, Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra and MSI Prestige N16 models.

Who should consider an RTX Spark laptop?

RTX Spark laptops are aimed at AI developers, 3D artists, video professionals, researchers and creators who need substantial local computing power. They may also appeal to users working with private files who want to reduce dependence on cloud AI services.

For a normal student, office worker or casual gamer, these machines may be excessive. A conventional Windows laptop with an Intel, AMD or Snapdragon processor, or a standard laptop with a dedicated RTX GPU, could offer better value for everyday work.

RTX Spark will also face competition from Apple’s high-memory MacBook systems and AMD-based AI laptops. Its main advantage is NVIDIA’s CUDA software ecosystem, which is widely used in AI development.
