HomeRun, a Bengaluru-based quick commerce startup for construction and interior materials, has raised $12 million, or about Rs. 114 crore, in a Series A+ funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners.

The round also saw participation from existing investors Sorin Investments, Titan Capital, Sparrow Capital, and Consumer Collective by Atrium. The funding comes at a time when quick commerce is moving beyond groceries and food into more specialized business categories.

HomeRun is trying to solve a very practical problem. Construction and renovation work often slows down because one important item is missing. It may be cement, tiles, plywood, wires, waterproofing material, paint, plumbing items, or hardware. A small delay can stop labour, increase cost and disturb the full project schedule.

What HomeRun does

HomeRun delivers construction and home improvement materials quickly to project sites and homes.

The startup claims to deliver products within 60 to 90 minutes. Its product range includes cement, tiles, paints, waterproofing products, wires, plywood and other renovation materials.

This is different from normal ecommerce. A contractor does not always have the luxury to wait two or three days for delivery. If work is happening at a site and material runs out, the need is immediate.

For example, if a tiling team runs out of adhesive in the afternoon, the full team may sit idle until the material arrives. If a plumber needs a specific pipe fitting, the work may stop until someone goes to the market. HomeRun wants to remove this friction.

HomeRun was founded in 2024 by Pukhraj Grewal.

Before starting HomeRun, Grewal founded Project Hero in 2021, a labour hiring platform focused on the construction sector. That earlier experience gave him a close view of how fragmented and inefficient construction work can be.
