Realme has launched the Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition in India, and this one is clearly made for fans as much as phone buyers. The device keeps the same core hardware as the regular Realme 16 Pro 5G, but adds a full Hogwarts-themed design, custom software touches and collectible packaging.

The phone is priced at Rs. 62,999 for the single 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It is available in Magic Brown and will be sold through Flipkart, Realme’s website and retail stores, as per launch reports.

What makes the Harry Potter Edition special

The biggest difference is the design. Realme has used a brown leather-style rear panel with a pattern inspired by the Wizard’s Chess scene from the Harry Potter films. The back also gets a Hogwarts crest and Harry Potter branding.

The camera module has also been redesigned with a Hedwig-inspired look, where the lenses resemble the owl’s eyes. It is a bold design choice, and fans will either love it instantly or find it too loud for daily use.

The rear panel also has a light-reactive effect that reveals Hogwarts house colours under sunlight or UV light, according to Realme’s product page.

Collector box and custom software

Realme has packed the phone in a special Hogwarts-style trunk box. The box includes themed items such as a Hogwarts acceptance letter, Platform 9¾ ticket, character postcards, bookmarks, a phone case and a phone pin.

The software also gets a Harry Potter treatment. Realme UI 7 includes themed wallpapers, redesigned icons, boot animation, charging animation, fingerprint animation and hidden Easter eggs. This is where the phone feels more than just a regular model with a logo on the back.

Display and performance

The Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition gets a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. A high refresh rate makes scrolling and gaming feel smoother.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G chipset. For normal use, this should handle social media, video streaming, camera use, multitasking and gaming comfortably. It is paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Camera and battery

For photography, the phone has a 200MP main rear camera with optical and electronic stabilization. It also gets an 8MP ultra-wide camera for wider shots. On the front, there is a 50MP selfie camera.

The phone packs a large 7000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. This is one of its most practical features. For students, travellers or heavy users, the large battery can make a real difference.

Price and competitors

At Rs. 62,999, the Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition is not a value-first phone. Buyers are paying extra for the limited-edition design, accessories and collector appeal.

In this price range, it competes with performance and premium phones from OnePlus, iQOO, Vivo, Samsung and Motorola. The regular Realme 16 Pro 5G may also be a better choice for users who want the same hardware at a lower price.

Conclusion with key takeaways

The Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition is made for fans who want their phone to feel personal and collectible. It has strong specs, a huge battery and a striking design, but its price makes the most sense for Harry Potter lovers rather than regular bargain hunters.
