Fire-Boltt has entered India’s smartphone market with two new phones under its Boltt brand – Boltt Evo and Boltt Ace 5G. The launch is important because Fire-Boltt is already known in India for smartwatches and audio products, and now it is trying to win budget smartphone buyers too.

The new Boltt Evo is a 4G phone, while the Boltt Ace 5G is the more powerful 5G model. Both phones focus on simple but useful features – a large display, 6,000mAh battery, Android 16, Google AI tools and clean software without heavy bloatware.

The phones will go on sale through Flipkart from 1 September 2026 at 12 PM as per report. With launch-day offers, prices will start from Rs. 9,999, making the Boltt Evo one of the more affordable new phones in this segment.

Boltt Evo and Ace 5G price in India

The Boltt Evo is priced at Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 11,999.

The Boltt Ace 5G starts at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 14,999, while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at Rs. 15,999.

As part of the first-sale offer, buyers can get an instant Rs. 1,000 discount at checkout. That brings the effective starting price of Boltt Evo to Rs. 9,999 and Boltt Ace 5G to Rs. 12,999.

Display and design

Both Boltt Evo and Boltt Ace 5G come with a 6.79-inch HD+ display. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and animations feel smoother than a basic 60Hz display.

The display also offers up to 600 nits peak brightness. This should be fine for normal indoor use and shaded outdoor areas, though it may not match brighter AMOLED phones in direct sunlight.

Both phones have a centred punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The design also includes flat edges, which gives the phones a more modern look. Earlier design teasers showed multiple colour options, with the Ace 5G positioned above the Evo.

Performance and processor

The Boltt Evo is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset. This is a budget 4G processor meant for basic everyday use.

The Boltt Ace 5G gets the Unisoc T8200 chipset, which brings 5G support and better performance than the Evo. It should be suitable for calling, WhatsApp, YouTube, browsing, social media, UPI payments and light gaming.

These phones are not made for heavy gaming or professional-level camera work. Their target buyer is someone who wants a simple, affordable phone with a big battery and clean software.

Camera features

The Boltt Evo gets a 50MP main rear camera. The Boltt Ace 5G comes with a 64MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture.

Both phones get an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Boltt is also adding Google AI imaging features such as Face Unblur and Night Mode. Face Unblur can help improve slightly shaky face shots, while Night Mode helps in low-light scenes. Still, buyers should wait for real camera samples before judging final photo quality.

Battery and charging

Both Boltt Evo and Boltt Ace 5G pack a 6,000mAh battery. This is one of the strongest features of the phones.

For a normal user, a 6,000mAh battery can make daily life easier. If your day includes social media, calls, online payments, YouTube, maps and some gaming, the phone should last longer than many regular 5,000mAh phones.

Both phones support up to 18W fast charging. This is not the fastest charging in the market, but it is acceptable in this price range. The bigger focus here is battery backup, not super-fast charging.

Software and AI tools

The Boltt Evo and Ace 5G run Android 16 out of the box. The company is also highlighting a clean, bloatware-free software experience.

This matters because many budget phones come with too many pre-installed apps, notifications and recommendations. A cleaner interface can make the phone feel smoother and easier to use, especially for first-time buyers.

The phones also support Google features such as Circle to Search and Google Lens. Circle to Search lets users search something on the screen without switching apps. For example, if you see a shoe, location, product or text on Instagram, you can circle it and search quickly.

Google Lens can help scan text, translate signs, identify objects and search visually. These small AI tools can be useful for students, shoppers and everyday users.

Service support and Boltt Care app

Boltt is also focusing on customer support. The phones come with a dedicated Boltt Care app for support and troubleshooting.

This is important because Fire-Boltt is entering a tough category. People may buy smartwatches from new brands easily, but smartphones need stronger after-sales service. If a phone has a display issue, battery problem or software trouble, buyers need quick help.

Before buying, users should check whether service support is available near their city or area.

About Fire-Boltt

Fire-Boltt is an Indian consumer electronics brand known mainly for smartwatches, earbuds, headphones and other wearable products. The brand is linked to Boltt Sports Technologies and was founded by brother-sister duo Arnav Kishore and Aayushi Kishore in 2015.

Fire-Boltt became popular in India by selling affordable smartwatches with features like Bluetooth calling, fitness tracking and health monitoring. The company built its reach through online platforms and offline retail.

Its entry into smartphones is a big move. The budget smartphone market is much harder because buyers compare every small detail – processor, camera, software, battery, display, updates and service quality. Boltt will need to prove that it can offer more than low pricing.

Competitors of Boltt Evo and Ace 5G

The Boltt Evo will compete with budget 4G phones from itel, Lava, Redmi, Realme and Infinix.

The Boltt Ace 5G will compete with affordable 5G phones such as Lava Virat V1 5G, Poco and Redmi models, Realme budget 5G phones and other devices under Rs. 15,000.

The Ace 5G has a strong point in offering 128GB storage from the base variant, clean software and a 6,000mAh battery. But rivals may offer better brand trust, wider service networks or stronger processors in some cases.

As we reported earlier, Poco has launched the Poco M8x 5G in India, and the phone is clearly made for users who want battery life first. Its biggest highlight is the massive 7,900mAh battery, which is much larger than what we normally see in budget and mid-range 5G phones.

The phone also brings Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, 45W wired charging, 22.5W reverse charging, IP64 dust and water resistance, Gorilla Glass 7i protection and a long software update promise. Poco is trying to make the M8x 5G a practical phone for people who want a device that can last long, perform smoothly and stay updated for years.

The Poco M8x 5G price in India starts from Rs. 18,999, according to Cashify. The phone will go on sale through Flipkart from 27 August at 12 PM.

Poco M8x 5G price and availability

The Poco M8x 5G has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 18,999. It will be available through Flipkart, which already had a dedicated microsite for the phone before launch.

The phone comes in Blue, Black and Leather Green finishes. The Leather Green option has a textured back panel, which gives the phone a different feel from regular glossy plastic designs.

For buyers, the main thing to watch will be launch offers. Poco phones often become more attractive after bank discounts, exchange offers or early sale deals. So, the effective price may be lower for some buyers depending on the offer available on Flipkart.

The 7,900mAh battery is the main reason to notice this phone

The Poco M8x 5G packs a 7,900mAh battery. Poco claims the phone can offer up to three days of use on a single charge.

The company has also shared usage numbers such as up to 35 hours of social media scrolling, 27 days of messaging, around 13 hours of navigation and nearly 13 hours of gaming. These figures are based on company testing, so real-life results will depend on brightness, network strength, gaming, camera use and background apps.

Still, the large battery should help users who are tired of charging their phone every evening. For example, if your day includes YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, Google Maps, online classes, video calls and some gaming, a battery this big can be genuinely useful.

The phone supports 45W wired fast charging. Poco says a 30-minute charge can give a full day of use. It also supports 22.5W reverse charging, which means you can use the phone to charge another device through a cable. This can help when your earbuds, another phone or a small gadget runs low on battery.

Performance and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5

The Poco M8x 5G is India’s first smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, as per reports. It is based on a 4nm process, which should help with power efficiency.

Poco claims the phone can score over 6,50,000 on AnTuTu. Benchmark scores are useful for comparison, but they do not tell the full story. What matters more for normal users is how the phone behaves in daily life.

For basic use, the M8x 5G should handle calling, browsing, social media, UPI payments, YouTube, messaging and casual gaming without trouble. It also gets LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, which should help apps open faster than on phones with slower storage.

The phone also comes with virtual RAM support. Virtual RAM uses some internal storage as extra memory. It can help in light multitasking, but it is not the same as real RAM.

Cooling system for longer use

Poco has added a triple cooling system inside the M8x 5G. Reports mention a graphite layer, copper foil and thermal gel to manage heat.

This matters because phones can slow down when they get hot. If you play games, use the camera for a long time or keep switching between apps, better cooling can help the phone remain more stable.

It does not mean the phone will never heat. Every phone warms up during heavy use. But a cooling system can help reduce sudden performance drops.

Display and design

The Poco M8x 5G is expected to offer a 6.9-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to specification listings and reports. A 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and animations feel smoother compared with a normal 60Hz screen.

The use of an LCD panel means it may not offer the same deep blacks and contrast as an AMOLED display. But if Poco keeps the brightness and colour tuning good, it should still work well for videos, reading and daily use.

The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and Wet Touch 2.0 technology. Wet Touch can help the screen respond better when your fingers are slightly wet. This is useful in daily situations, especially during rain or after washing hands.

The phone also gets IP64 dust and water resistance. This means it has protection against dust and water splashes, but it is not made for underwater use.

Camera setup

The Poco M8x 5G has a 50MP main rear camera, according to available specifications. It also appears to have a dual rear camera design, though the second sensor details are not the main focus of the phone.

For selfies and video calls, the phone is expected to offer an 8MP front camera.

This is clearly not being marketed as a camera-first phone. The M8x 5G is more about battery, performance and long-term use. Still, the 50MP main camera should be fine for daylight photos, documents, casual portraits and social media uploads.

If camera quality is your top priority, it is better to wait for detailed reviews with real photo samples before buying.

Software and update promise

One of the strongest parts of the Poco M8x 5G is its software support promise. Reports say Poco is offering four Android upgrades and six years of software support.

This is a big point in this price range. Many people keep their phones for three to four years, and longer software support means the device can stay safer and more useful over time.

The phone runs Android 16 with Poco’s HyperOS experience. Buyers should expect Poco-style features, customization options and some pre-installed apps. It is always a good idea to remove unwanted apps after setup for a cleaner experience.

Competitors of Poco M8x 5G

The Poco M8x 5G will compete with phones from Realme, Redmi, Motorola, iQOO, Samsung and Lava in the under Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 range.

Its biggest competitors may include battery-focused 5G phones and performance-heavy devices in the same price band. Some rivals may offer AMOLED displays or better camera hardware. Poco’s main advantage is the huge battery, Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chip, reverse charging and long software support.

If your priority is display quality, check AMOLED alternatives. If your priority is gaming, compare real performance tests. But if you want a phone that can last long on battery and stay updated for years, the Poco M8x 5G looks like a strong option.

Should you buy Poco M8x 5G

The Poco M8x 5G is best for users who want long battery life, decent performance and good value. Students, travellers, field workers and heavy social media users may find it practical.

It may not be the perfect phone for camera lovers or people who strongly prefer AMOLED screens. But for everyday use, its feature mix is sensible.

At Rs. 18,999 starting price, the phone becomes interesting because very few 5G phones offer this kind of battery capacity with long software support.

Conclusion with key takeaways

The Poco M8x 5G is a battery-focused smartphone with a clear target audience. It is made for users who want a phone that can go longer between charges, handle daily apps smoothly and remain supported for several years.

The 7,900mAh battery is the headline feature, but the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chip, 45W charging, reverse charging, IP64 rating and six-year software support make the phone more complete.
