POCO is ready to launch two new X-series phones in India on September 4, 2026. The company has confirmed that the POCO X8 5G and POCO X8 Power 5G will arrive at 12 PM IST and will be sold through Flipkart.

The main highlight is battery life. POCO is clearly targeting users who want a phone that can last longer than regular mid-range smartphones. The standard POCO X8 is confirmed to pack a 9,000mAh battery, while the POCO X8 Power will go even bigger with a 10,000mAh battery.

What POCO has confirmed

POCO has confirmed the launch date, Flipkart availability, battery capacity and charging details for both phones.

• The POCO X8 5G will come with a 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. The company claims it can offer up to 3.2 days of battery life. It will support 67W wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging.
• The POCO X8 Power 5G will get a larger 10,000mAh battery, which POCO calls its biggest battery ever in a smartphone. The company claims up to 3.5 days of usage. This model is confirmed to support 100W wired charging and 27W reverse charging.

Reverse charging simply means the phone can charge another device, like earbuds or a second phone, using a cable. For travellers, students and field workers, this can be a useful emergency feature.

Possible specifications revealed

Several reports suggest that both phones may feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display. The POCO X8 Power is expected to get a 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. A 120Hz display makes scrolling, gaming and animations feel smoother than a normal 60Hz screen.

The POCO X8 5G is tipped to use the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, while the POCO X8 Power 5G may come with the newer Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor. These are expected to be mid-range chips, suitable for daily use, social media, video streaming, casual gaming and multitasking.

Camera details are still not officially confirmed. Reports suggest the POCO X8 may get a 50MP rear camera and a 16MP selfie camera. The X8 Power could offer a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP front camera.

Why the big battery matters

A 9,000mAh or 10,000mAh battery can make a real difference for heavy users. Someone who watches videos, uses maps, attends online classes, plays games or works on the move may not need to charge the phone every night.

That said, bigger batteries can also make phones heavier. So, the real test will be how POCO balances battery size, design and hand comfort.

Competitors in India

The POCO X8 and X8 Power may compete with phones from Realme, Redmi, iQOO, Samsung and Motorola in the mid-range 5G segment. Battery-focused buyers may also compare them with models from Infinix and Tecno, which often offer large batteries at aggressive prices.

Conclusion – Key takeaways

The POCO X8 series looks built for users who care about battery life first. The POCO X8 brings a 9,000mAh battery, while the X8 Power pushes that to 10,000mAh with faster 100W charging.

Many specifications are still based on leaks, so buyers should wait for the September 4 launch before deciding. But if POCO gets the pricing right, these phones could stand out strongly in India’s crowded mid-range 5G market.

Realme is getting ready to bring another 5G phone to India, and this time the spotlight is on the Realme P4s 5G. The official Realme India event page confirms that the phone is launching on 26 August at 12 PM.

For many buyers, the real question is simple – will the realme P4s 5G be a value-for-money phone, and what could its price be? Realme has been active in the affordable and mid-range 5G market, so expectations are already building around battery life, display quality, charging speed, and daily performance.

Realme P4s 5G launch date and timing

The realme P4s 5G will launch on 26 August at 12 PM in India. This is confirmed through Realme’s official India event page.

The launch may happen through Realme’s online channels, and buyers can expect more information around availability, sale date, offers, storage variants, and bank discounts during or soon after the launch.

If you are planning to buy a new 5G phone, it is better to wait for the official launch instead of relying only on early leaks. Launch-day details usually give a clearer picture of the actual value.

Expected Realme P4s 5G price in India

Realme has not confirmed the official price of the realme P4s 5G yet. That means any price being discussed before the launch should be seen as an estimate, not final information.

Still, looking at Realme’s usual pricing style, the phone may be placed in the budget or lower mid-range 5G segment. A practical expected price range could be around Rs. 14,999 to Rs. 19,999, depending on RAM, storage, launch offers, and the final hardware Realme offers.

If Realme prices it closer to Rs. 15,000, the phone could attract students, first-time 5G users, and budget buyers. If it goes closer to Rs. 20,000, it will need stronger features such as a better display, larger battery, faster charging, and a reliable camera setup to stand out.

What buyers can expect from Realme P4s 5G

The “P” series from Realme usually focuses on performance and practical features. For a phone like the realme P4s 5G, buyers will expect a smooth display, good battery backup, clean day-to-day performance, and stable 5G connectivity.

For a normal user, these things matter more than fancy marketing terms. A good display helps while watching videos and scrolling social media. A large battery is useful for travel, college, office, and long calls. Fast charging saves time when you need quick power before leaving home.

The realme P4s 5G may also appeal to people who want a phone for WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, online shopping, UPI payments, web browsing, and light gaming. If Realme balances the price well, this phone could become a strong option for everyday users.

Should you buy Realme P4s 5G on launch day

Buying on launch day can be exciting, especially if Realme announces early-bird offers, bank discounts, or exchange benefits. These offers can reduce the effective price by a good margin.

But if you are not in a hurry, waiting for first reviews is a smarter move. Reviews can tell you things that spec sheets often cannot. For example, does the phone heat while gaming? Is the camera good in low light? Does the battery really last a full day? Is the display bright enough outdoors?

If the realme P4s 5G launches at a good price with strong battery life and smooth performance, it may be worth considering. But if the price is high, you should compare it with other Realme phones and rival brands before buying.

Competitors of Realme P4s 5G

The realme P4s 5G will enter a crowded market. In India, the under Rs. 20,000 5G phone segment already has strong competition from Redmi, iQOO, Poco, Motorola, Samsung, Vivo, and Lava.

Redmi and Poco usually focus on performance and aggressive pricing. iQOO often targets gaming and fast processors. Motorola is popular among people who like clean software. Samsung attracts buyers who want brand trust and stable after-sales support.

For Realme, the main challenge will be to offer a strong mix of price, battery, display, performance, and camera. If even one of these areas is weak, buyers may quickly move to another brand.

What Realme needs to get right

Realme does not need to make the P4s 5G a flagship phone. It only needs to make it balanced.

The phone should have a fair price, a dependable processor, good battery life, smooth software, and a camera that works well in daylight. Many buyers in this segment are not looking for luxury features. They want a phone that feels fast, lasts long, and does not create problems after a few months.

Software experience will also matter. Too many unwanted apps or notifications can hurt the user experience. If Realme keeps the phone clean and smooth, it will help the P4s 5G stand out.

Conclusion with key takeaways

The realme P4s 5G is officially launching in India on 26 August at 12 PM. The launch timing is confirmed by Realme’s official event page, but the company has not yet revealed the full price and specifications.

For now, buyers should treat price details as expected, not confirmed. If Realme brings the phone at the right price with good battery, smooth performance, and useful 5G features, the P4s 5G could become a strong choice in the budget 5G space.
