India’s startup funding area is moving across very different sectors at once. New capital is flowing into electric-vehicle technology, climate solutions, esports, and deep-tech investing.

The latest updates include Viridian Ingni’s Pre-Seed round, Carbelim’s investment from the IIT Madras Unicorn Frontier Fund, Let’s Game Now’s esports push, and Aavishkaar Group’s plan for a large new fund. Each story has a different goal, but all point to growing interest in technology-led businesses with long-term potential.

Viridian Ingni bets on homegrown EV propulsion

Chennai-based Viridian Ingni Propulsion has raised Rs. 1.47 crore in a Pre-Seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The startup was founded in February 2024 by Sriram G, who is also its chief executive.

Viridian Ingni develops electric propulsion systems, which include the motor, controller, and the software that manages their performance. These systems can be used in electric two-wheelers, e-rickshaws, drones, robots, and industrial machines.

As per Business Fortnight, the funding will help the company move from working prototypes to pilot production. It plans to spend on motor tooling, a small manufacturing setup, testing and certification, controller software validation, and initial customer deliveries.

The startup’s larger aim is to reduce dependence on imported EV components. Its competition includes established motor makers and overseas suppliers, but a locally designed system could be useful for Indian vehicle makers looking for customized solutions.

Carbelim takes its climate technology forward

Carbelim has secured Rs. 10 crore from the IIT Madras Unicorn Frontier Fund. The Kerala Startup Mission-backed company was founded by Dr. Karthika Gopi and Rahul Babu.

Carbelim works on microalgae-based carbon-capture and air-purification systems. In simple terms, its technology uses algae to absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. The company is developing solutions for cities and industries that want cleaner air and lower emissions.

As per Sahyadri Startups, the new funding is expected to support technology development, production scale-up, and international growth. Carbelim says it has filed 13 patents, including Indian and US applications, for its work.

Climate technology is a demanding field because a product must work reliably outside the lab. Carbelim will compete with conventional air-purification companies, carbon-capture businesses, and other climate-tech startups. Its use of algae-based systems gives it a distinct place in that market.

Let’s Game Now builds an esports league

Esports platform Let’s Game Now has raised Rs. 30 crore in a round co-led by Anand Mahindra and Bestvantage Investments. A UAE-based family office also participated.

Founded in 2018 by Santanu Basu, Let’s Game Now runs gaming tournaments, offline events, live broadcasts, and brand campaigns. Basu has also co-founded the Indian Super Gaming League with Gautam Badalia.

As per the Talk eSport, the capital will be used to develop the Indian Super Gaming League, or ISGL. The league is designed around a franchise format, similar to professional sports leagues. Instead of only hosting one-off tournaments, it aims to create a more organized path for players, teams, coaches, analysts, broadcasters, and sponsors.

The company faces competition from gaming platforms, tournament organizers, and esports publishers. Still, backing from investors with experience in building major sports properties could help ISGL attract teams and commercial partners.

Aavishkaar Group prepares its next big pool of capital

Aavishkaar Group is targeting Rs. 2,000 crore for its seventh fund. This is a fundraising target, not money that has already been collected or invested as per Venture Intelligence.

Founded in 2001 by Vineet Rai, Aavishkaar has long focused on businesses that combine commercial growth with social or environmental impact. Its proposed fund is expected to concentrate on deep-tech areas such as advanced materials, agriculture, technical textiles, tissue culture, and space technology.

Unlike the other three stories, Aavishkaar is not raising money for one startup. It is building a fund that could support several emerging companies over time. The group reportedly aims to announce at least six deep-tech investments before December.

Three Indian startups have raised fresh capital in very different markets: lab-grown diamond jewellery, AI-led frontline hiring and green hydrogen. While the businesses serve different customers, all three are using funding to expand products, teams and real-world operations.

So/Facet plans premium lab-grown diamond stores

So/Facet, a lab-grown diamond jewellery brand, has raised Rs. 10 crore in a seed round led by consumer-focused investor Sauce. This is the company’s first institutional fundraise.

The company was founded in 2026 by Aarushi Agrawal Naulakha and Abhishek Naulakha. It wants to position diamonds as everyday personal accessories, rather than jewellery bought mainly for engagements, weddings or special occasions.

As per Entrepreneur India, The new capital will be used for brand building, product design, technology, hiring and an omnichannel launch. Omnichannel simply means serving customers both online and through physical stores. So/Facet plans to launch online in November 2026 and aims to open more than 30 premium stores within three years.

The brand will compete with established jewellery chains as well as newer lab-grown diamond labels. Its challenge will be to build trust, especially when buyers are comparing designs, certification and resale expectations.

Hunar.AI expands voice-led frontline hiring

Bengaluru-based Hunar.AI has raised Rs. 39.3 crore in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures. Seedstars, Hyderabad Angels Fund, AVNM Ventures, and Physics Wallah co-founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari also participated as per Peepals Global.

Founded in 2022 by Krishna Khandelwal and Shantanu Bhattacharyya, Hunar.AI builds voice-based AI tools for companies hiring frontline workers. These include delivery partners, warehouse workers, retail staff, field sales employees and customer-service teams.

Its system can speak with candidates in multiple languages, help screen applicants, guide onboarding and support training. For instance, a large retailer hiring staff across several cities could use a voice agent to answer routine questions and schedule the next step without requiring every candidate to fill a long English-language form.

The company’s post-money valuation is estimated at about Rs. 180 crore, up more than 71 percent from its earlier estimated valuation of Rs. 105 crore. The funding is expected to support working capital, technology spending, operations and wider business expansion.

Hunar.AI operates in a competitive HR technology space alongside recruitment automation companies such as Vahan.ai. Its focus on voice interaction is particularly relevant for workers who prefer speaking in their own language.

Greenzo Energy builds green hydrogen capacity

Greenzo Energy India has raised Rs. 130 crore in fresh funding led by investor Ashish Kacholia and associates. The company says its cumulative funding across three rounds has reached about Rs. 251 crore, with the latest round valuing it at around Rs. 1,030 crore after the investment.

Greenzo Energy was founded by Sandeep Agarwal and registered in India in 2022. The company works on green hydrogen projects and makes electrolysers, equipment that uses electricity to split water and produce hydrogen.

As per Energetica India, the fresh capital will support expansion of its domestic electrolyser manufacturing, research and development, working capital and project execution in India and overseas. Greenzo operates a 250MW-per-year electrolyser manufacturing facility at Sanand in Gujarat.

The company is competing in an emerging clean-energy market where local manufacturing, dependable project delivery and cost control will matter as much as technology. Its work is aimed at industries seeking lower-emission energy options, including sectors where direct electrification is difficult.

YOGa Clean Air has raised Rs. 20 crore in a Series A funding round led by Info Edge Ventures. The round also saw participation from Deepinder Goyal, founder of Eternal, and Three Words Capital.

The Gurugram-based startup is working on a problem many Indian families understand too well which is that polluted air entering homes, schools, offices, hospitals and gyms. Instead of selling a regular air purifier, YOGa Clean Air is building full-space clean-air systems that try to stop polluted air from entering indoor spaces in the first place.

What YOGa Clean Air does

YOGa Clean Air builds indoor air-quality systems for homes and institutions. Its main product is called the Clean Air Bubble system.

In simple terms, the system filters outdoor air before bringing it inside. It also keeps slightly higher air pressure inside the room or building. This helps reduce polluted outside air from leaking in through small gaps, doors or windows.

The company also manages carbon dioxide levels indoors. This matters because a closed room may feel clean, but if fresh air is not managed well, CO2 can rise and make people feel tired or uncomfortable.
