The Tecno Spark 50s 5G is set to go on sale in India from October 20, 2026. It is aimed at people who want a 5G phone with a large battery, a smooth screen and better protection against everyday accidents without moving far above the Rs. 20,000 mark.

Its biggest talking points are the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, a 6,500mAh battery, 45W charging and an IP64-rated body. On paper, it looks like a practical choice for students, regular social-media users and people who spend long hours away from a charger.

Tecno Spark 50s 5G price in India

Tecno has priced the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version at Rs. 19,999. The 8GB RAM and 128GB model costs Rs. 22,999. Buyers can choose between Burgundy Red and Breeze Blue.

Reports agree that sales begin on October 20. However, availability information differs between reports. It is sensible to check Tecno’s official page or a nearby retailer before visiting a store or placing an order.

Performance for daily use

The Tecno Spark 50s 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip. In simple terms, this is the part that handles daily tasks such as scrolling through apps, making video calls, watching YouTube, switching between WhatsApp and Instagram, and using 5G data.

The phone is available with 6GB or 8GB RAM, paired with 128GB storage. For a typical user, this should be enough space for apps, photos and downloaded videos. The device runs Android 16 with Tecno’s HiOS software layer.

It is not being positioned as a high-end gaming phone, but casual games and routine work should be comfortable. Someone using the phone for online classes, UPI payments, maps and entertainment is likely to benefit more from its battery life than from benchmark numbers.

Big battery and 45W charging

A 6,500mAh battery is one of the strongest reasons to consider the Spark 50s 5G. Battery backup always depends on screen brightness, mobile data use, gaming and background apps, but this capacity should suit users who often finish a long day without easy access to a charger.

It supports 45W wired charging, which should reduce waiting time compared with basic charging systems. For example, a commuter can top up the phone during a lunch break instead of leaving it plugged in for several hours.

Screen, camera and build quality

The phone has a 6.78-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate can make scrolling through menus, feeds and web pages feel smoother. Its HD+ resolution is adequate for everyday use, though buyers who want sharper video and text may find Full HD+ screens on some competitors more appealing.

Tecno has included a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The setup should cover daylight photos, documents, video calls and social-media posts. As with most phones in this price range, buyers should keep realistic expectations for low-light photography.

The Spark 50s 5G carries an IP64 rating, meaning it is designed to resist dust and water splashes. It is not a phone for swimming or underwater shooting. Tecno also advertises MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability and claims drop resistance from up to 1.5 metres. These protections are useful for daily bumps and light rain, but a case and screen protector are still worthwhile.

Competitors and buying view

At this price, the Tecno Spark 50s 5G will compete with options such as the OnePlus N6x 5G, Oppo K14x 5G and Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G. Its large battery, 120Hz display and durability-focused design help it stand out.

The Tecno Spark 50s 5G makes the most sense for buyers who value battery endurance, 5G connectivity and a tougher body. Those who place camera quality, an AMOLED display or software-update policy above all else should compare alternatives before purchasing.

Key takeaways

The Tecno Spark 50s 5G starts at Rs. 19,999 and goes on sale from October 20. It brings a Dimensity 6400 processor, 6,500mAh battery, 45W charging, 120Hz display, 50MP rear camera and IP64 splash and dust resistance. It appears to be a balanced choice for general users, especially those who need a phone that can handle long days and everyday wear.

As discussed earlier, Mivi, known for its earbuds, headphones and speakers, has launched its first smartphone in India. Called the Mivi One 5G, the phone enters the competitive budget 5G segment with a large battery, a clean software experience and three memory options.

The Hyderabad-based brand says it was founded in 2015. Mivi was started by Viswanadh Kandula and Midhula Devabhaktuni, and initially built its name in affordable audio products. The smartphone launch is a major step away from its original category. Mivi one focuses on designing and manufacturing products in India.

Mivi One 5G price and availability

The Mivi One 5G starts at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The 6GB model costs Rs. 15,999, while the top 8GB variant is priced at Rs. 16,999.

The phone will be sold through Flipkart, with the first sale scheduled for October 8. During the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, the effective price is expected to start at Rs. 12,999 after applicable discounts and bank offers. Gadgets 360 reported that the phone will be available in Blue, Burgundy, Pink, Green and Navy Blue.

Core specifications of the Mivi One 5G

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. This is an entry-level 5G processor designed for daily tasks such as calling, social media, video streaming and light gaming.

It has a 6.745-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate can make scrolling and simple animations feel smoother than on a standard 60Hz screen.

The phone also includes a 6,000mAh battery, which is larger than what many phones in this price range offer. For a practical user, this could mean longer battery life during travel, online classes, navigation or extended video watching.

For photography, the Mivi One 5G has a 50-megapixel main rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It runs Android 16 and carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.

How it is different from other budget 5G phones

Mivi’s biggest difference is its brand background. Unlike most smartphone companies, it is entering the market after building experience in audio hardware and local manufacturing.

The company is also focusing on a relatively clean Android experience rather than loading the phone with too many extra applications. That may appeal to buyers who prefer a simple interface and more available storage.

The 6,000mAh battery is another strong point. Buyers who care more about endurance than advanced gaming performance may find the Mivi One 5G interesting. The phone also offers three RAM choices, allowing customers to select between a lower price and smoother multitasking.

However, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is aimed at everyday use. People looking for heavy gaming, advanced camera features or a high-resolution display may find stronger alternatives in the same broad price segment.

Who should consider this phone

The Mivi One 5G may suit students, first-time 5G buyers and users who want long battery life at a controlled price. It could also appeal to customers who prefer supporting an Indian consumer electronics brand.

For example, a user who mainly watches videos, uses messaging apps, attends online meetings and takes occasional photos may not need a more powerful processor. In that case, the large battery and 5G support could matter more than benchmark scores.

Conclusion and key takeaways

The Mivi One 5G is an important launch because it takes a homegrown audio brand into one of the most crowded parts of the Indian mobile market.

Its main strengths are the 6,000mAh battery, Android 16, 90Hz display, 50-megapixel camera and multiple RAM options. Its long-term success will depend on software updates, after-sales service and real-world performance.
