IBM and Yotta Data Services have announced plans to make a sovereign agentic AI platform available for Indian enterprises and government organizations.

The proposed platform will combine IBM Watsonx Orchestrate with Yotta’s Shakti Cloud. IBM Sovereign Core is also planned for deployment on Yotta’s India-based cloud infrastructure. Together, the companies want to help organizations use AI while keeping greater control over data, operations and regulatory requirements.

One important clarification is needed. IBM Sovereign Core is generally available, while the India-focused IBM and Yotta agentic AI platform was announced as a partnership initiative to be delivered through Yotta’s Shakti Cloud.
