Oppo has launched the Enco X4 true wireless earbuds in India at Rs. 19,999. The premium earbuds are designed for buyers who want stronger sound quality, active noise cancellation and longer battery life than standard budget TWS options.

The big talking point is Oppo’s continuing collaboration with Danish audio company Dynaudio. The Enco X4 uses a dual-driver design, separate audio processing for each driver and sound profiles tuned for different listening preferences.

Oppo Enco X4 price and availability

The Oppo Enco X4 is priced at Rs. 19,999 and will be sold in Glacier White and Aurora Violet colour options.

Sales begin on October 29 through the Oppo India website, Amazon, Flipkart and selected offline retailers. A limited-period Rs. 1,000 discount and no-cost EMI offers may be available through eligible channels.

How Dynaudio co-engineering works

The Enco X4 has two drivers in each earbud. An 11mm woofer is responsible for bass and lower frequencies, while a 6mm planar tweeter handles higher-frequency detail such as vocals, instruments and treble.

Each driver has its own digital-to-analogue converter, or DAC. In simple terms, a DAC turns digital music data into sound. Separate DACs allow the earbuds to process low and high frequencies more independently.

Oppo and Dynaudio have also included five sound profiles for different genres and preferences. This allows users to choose a sound style that suits bass-heavy tracks, vocal-focused music or a more balanced presentation.

The earbuds support Hi-Res Audio Wireless and codecs including AAC, SBC, LHDC and LC3. Lossless audio support through LHDC can deliver up to 24-bit and 48kHz playback, but the full lossless experience requires compatible Oppo Find X10 series phones.

Adaptive ANC and clearer calls

The Oppo Enco X4 features AI Real-Time Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, or ANC. ANC uses microphones to listen to outside sound and then creates an opposing signal to reduce unwanted noise before it reaches the listener.

The earbuds use a triple-microphone setup, a voice-pickup unit that detects voice vibrations, a 6nm neural processing unit and AI algorithms. Together, these tools aim to adjust noise cancellation and transparency levels according to the surroundings.

For example, the earbuds may reduce steady noise from a metro, bus or aircraft cabin. When transparency mode is enabled, users can hear some outside sound without removing the earbuds.

For calls, the AI Clear Call feature tries to separate the user’s voice from background noise. This could be useful when taking a call in traffic, a busy café or a crowded station.

Battery, connectivity and smart features

Oppo claims up to 13 hours of music playback from the earbuds and up to 53 hours with the charging case. These figures are based on AAC playback with ANC turned off, so actual battery life will be lower with ANC, high volume or lossless audio enabled.

The Enco X4 supports Bluetooth 6.1, dual-device connections, USB Type-C charging and wireless charging. Each earbud weighs 5.6g and carries an IP55 dust and water-resistance rating.

Other features include spatial audio across Android, iOS and Windows devices, AI Live Translation in more than 30 languages on selected Oppo devices, Google Gemini voice activation with compatible devices and a neck-monitoring feature that reminds users about prolonged poor posture.

Competition and buying view

At Rs. 19,999, the Oppo Enco X4 will compete with premium TWS options such as the Apple AirPods Pro, Samsung Galaxy Buds series, Bose QuietComfort earbuds and Sony’s noise-cancelling models.

The Enco X4 may appeal most to Oppo and OnePlus users, especially those with compatible Find-series phones that can access its full lossless-audio and AI feature set.
