Samsung has expanded its affordable smartphone range in India with three new models – the Galaxy A08, Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08. All three phones focus on large screens, long battery life and Samsung’s software experience.

The Galaxy A08 is positioned as the slightly more premium option, while the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 target budget buyers who want a dependable phone for everyday use.

These are 4G smartphones, so they are aimed at users who do not need 5G connectivity but still want a large display, reliable battery and long-term software support.

Samsung Galaxy A08 price and features

The Galaxy A08 is available in a 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. Its reported India price is Rs. 18,499. The phone is also expected to be sold through major online and offline channels.

It features a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate can make scrolling through social media, websites and menus feel smoother.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99+ processor and runs Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI interface. It includes a 50MP main camera, a 2MP secondary sensor and an 8MP front camera.

The 6,000mAh battery is the main attraction. It supports 25W wired charging and should suit users who spend several hours watching videos, browsing the internet or using social media. Samsung also lists features such as Circle to Search, Knox Vault, IP64 protection and up to six generations of Android upgrades with six years of security updates as per reports from Samsung India newsroom.

Samsung Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 price

The Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 share almost identical specifications. Both are listed with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Their reported India price is Rs. 16,999 each, although buyers should check Samsung’s store and sales listings for the latest official price and availability.

The Galaxy M08 comes in Silver, while the Galaxy F08 is available in Dark Blue. The difference between the two models is mainly their sales channel, series identity and colour option.

Both phones feature a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. They are powered by the MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset and run Android 17 with One UI 9.

The camera setup includes a 50MP primary rear camera, a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP selfie camera. The phones can record video at up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.

Both devices pack 6,000mAh batteries with 25W charging. They also include USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-SIM support and microSD expansion. Samsung promises six generations of operating system upgrades and six years of security updates as per Samsung India M08 and Samsung India F08.

Which users are these phones made for

The Galaxy A08 is better suited to users who want more built-in storage for photos, videos, apps and documents. It can appeal to students, families and buyers who prefer Samsung’s service network and software support.

The Galaxy M08 is aimed at online shoppers who want a large battery and basic everyday performance at a lower price. It should be suitable for calls, WhatsApp, YouTube, online classes and light gaming.

The Galaxy F08 is likely to appeal to buyers who prefer the Galaxy F series and its online-focused availability. It offers the same core hardware as the M08, so the choice will largely depend on colour, offers and where the phone is being sold.

Competition

The three phones compete with devices from Redmi, Realme, Motorola, Lava and Infinix. Rival models may offer faster charging, 5G connectivity, sharper Full HD+ displays or more powerful processors at similar prices.

Samsung’s advantage is its familiar software, long update promise, brand trust and after-sales network. However, buyers looking for gaming performance or a sharper display may find stronger hardware elsewhere.

Conclusion with key takeaways

The Galaxy A08, Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 are designed for practical smartphone users rather than performance enthusiasts. Their strongest features are the 6,000mAh batteries, 50MP cameras, 90Hz displays and long software support.

The Galaxy A08 makes more sense for users who need 128GB storage, while the M08 and F08 are more affordable choices with 64GB storage. Before buying, users should compare the final sale price with competing 5G phones in the same range.
