Redmi Note 17 Pro Max goes on sale in India today, September 23, 2026. The phone was launched earlier this month along with the Redmi Note 17 Pro, and it is clearly built for users who care most about battery life, display quality and long-term software support.

The biggest talking point is its massive 10,000mAh battery. In a market where many phones still offer 5,000mAh to 6,000mAh batteries, Redmi is trying to attract heavy users, travellers, gamers and people who simply hate charging their phone again and again.

Price and versions in India

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max price in India starts at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version is priced at Rs. 55,999.

The phone is available through Amazon. Xiaomi is also offering up to Rs. 5,000 instant discount with select bank cards, including SBI, Axis Bank and IDFC First Bank. Some users may also get cashback through HDB Financial Services, depending on offer terms.

The phone comes in Matcha Green, Secret Sunrise and Stealth Black colour options. Secret Sunrise has a more premium-looking finish, while Stealth Black is likely to appeal to buyers who prefer a cleaner design.

Display and design

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max gets a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. This means scrolling, gaming and video playback should feel smooth.

The screen also supports up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and a 12-bit colour panel. In simple words, it should be bright, colourful and suitable for streaming content outdoors or indoors.
