Ringg Raises $10 Million From Peak XV to Take Voice AI Beyond Call Centres

Voice AI startup Ringg has raised $10 million from Peak XV Partners as an extension of its Series A round. With this, the company’s Series A has grown to $15.5 million, after an earlier $5.5 million round led by Arkam Ventures.

The Bengaluru-based startup is not trying to build just another call centre tool. Ringg wants to help businesses use AI agents that can talk to customers, understand requests, take action across systems and complete useful tasks.

Ringg was founded in 2023 by Siddharth Tripathi, Kali Charan Vemuru and Utkarsh Shukla. The startup earlier operated as DesiVocal, a text-to-speech company, before shifting its focus to enterprise voice AI agents.

What Ringg does

Ringg builds AI agents for business communication. In simple words, these are software agents that can speak with customers over calls and also work across channels such as WhatsApp, chat and browser-based support flows.

For example, a clinic can use Ringg to help patients book appointments or follow up after a visit. A fintech company can use it for customer onboarding, KYC reminders or loan collection calls. An ecommerce company can use it to recover abandoned carts or update customers about orders.

According to TechCrunch, Ringg handles around 20 million call attempts every month. Its customers include CRED, Flipkart, Practo, Groww, Policybazaar and Shell.

Purpose of the $10 million funding

The new funding will help Ringg strengthen its platform and expand its AI agents across voice, WhatsApp and browser-based workflows.

The company also plans to invest deeper in its own AI models and improve enterprise expansion in India and overseas. This matters because large companies do not want AI tools that only talk nicely. They want systems that can work reliably with existing software, policies and customer data.

Ringg’s earlier funding note also said the company is working on better scale, reliability, integrations and deployment options for enterprises. These are not glamorous words, but they are important. A bank, hospital chain or insurance company will not use an AI agent seriously unless it is stable, trackable and safe.

Why this funding is important

The voice AI market is growing because many customers still prefer phone calls when dealing with businesses. In India, this is especially true for healthcare, finance, insurance, delivery and customer support.

But the old call centre model is expensive and slow to scale. AI voice agents can reduce waiting time, handle repeated queries and support human teams. The real value comes when the AI agent can do more than answer. It should book, update, verify, remind, collect information and close the task.

That is the bigger bet behind Ringg. Peak XV is not only backing a voice tool. It is backing a company that wants to become an automation layer for business conversations.

Competitors and market overview

Ringg operates in a busy space. Globally, companies such as Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Cartesia and Vapi are active in voice AI. In India, players such as Sarvam, Smallest.ai, Bolna, Gnani and other enterprise AI startups are also building in related areas.

Some companies focus on speech models. Some focus on call automation. Ringg’s aim is to sit closer to the workflow, where customer conversations turn into actual business actions.

Conclusion with key takeaways

Ringg’s $10 million funding from Peak XV shows growing investor interest in practical AI products for enterprises. The startup is moving beyond simple outbound calls and trying to solve harder business workflows across voice, WhatsApp and browser-based support.
