ReFit Global Raises $1 Million While CurvetAI Secures Rs. 6 Crore to Build Scalable Tech Platforms

India’s startup ecosystem is seeing funding across two very different sectors. ReFit Global has raised $1 million from a UAE-based family office to expand its refurbished electronics business. At the same time, Pune-based CurvetAI has secured Rs. 6 crore in pre-seed funding to build a unified artificial intelligence workspace.
One company is working to make used smartphones more affordable and reliable. The other is trying to make the growing AI tool ecosystem easier to use.
ReFit Global’s funding and business model
Founded by Saket Saurav and Avneet Singh, ReFit Global operates in the refurbished electronics market. The company sources used smartphones and other devices, repairs them, checks their quality and sells them through online, offline and business-to-business channels.
ReFit says its devices go through a 47-point quality check. It also reports a refurbishment yield of 92 percent, meaning most devices entering its system can be restored and sold again. The company has built a network of more than 75 distributors, 2,000 wholesalers and 50,000 retail outlets across India.
The $1 million investment will be used to expand its retail network, strengthen refurbishment and repair facilities, improve technology infrastructure and create an integrated omnichannel platform. This platform is expected to connect ReFit’s online business, physical stores, distributors and enterprise customers.
As per Equitypandit, the UAE-based family office may also help ReFit find partners and customers in Gulf and African markets. That gives the funding a wider purpose than simply expanding within India. ReFit competes with organized refurbished electronics platforms such as Cashify, Yaantra and local electronics retailers. Its advantage is the combination of refurbishment, distribution and retail reach.
CurvetAI’s pre-seed round and AI workspace
CurvetAI was founded in December 2025 by Vivek Dubey and Utkarsh Gupta. Its platform brings several types of AI models into one workspace, including tools for text, images, audio and video.
Today, users often switch between different AI applications depending on the task. One tool may be better for writing, another for images and a third for audio. CurvetAI wants to reduce this constant switching by allowing users to discover and combine these capabilities in one place.
The company initially began as a platform for finding AI tools and prompts. It later moved toward a workspace model after recognizing that discovery alone did not solve the problem. Users also needed a simple way to use different tools together.
As per FinSMEs, Merak Ventures led CurvetAI’s Rs. 6 crore pre-seed round, with participation from angel investors. The company plans to spend the money on engineering infrastructure, hiring and the development of agent-based features that can manage more complex tasks.
CurvetAI’s competition includes AI productivity platforms, model marketplaces and software products that combine multiple AI services. Its challenge will be to make the experience simple while maintaining speed, quality and reasonable pricing.
Why these fundraises matter
ReFit Global’s round reflects the growth of India’s organized recommerce market. Better testing, warranties and repair systems can make refurbished devices more attractive to buyers who want lower prices.
CurvetAI’s funding reflects a different trend. As more AI models enter the market, users need platforms that help them select the right tool and connect different tasks smoothly.
Both companies are using technology to simplify crowded markets. ReFit is bringing structure and trust to refurbished electronics, while CurvetAI is trying to bring order to a fragmented AI ecosystem.
Conclusion with key takeaways
ReFit Global will use its $1 million funding to expand retail, improve refurbishment and explore international markets.
CurvetAI will use its Rs. 6 crore pre-seed round to strengthen its infrastructure, grow its team and build agent-based AI features.
The two deals show how Indian startups are finding opportunities in both practical consumer services and emerging technologies.
